Category: Writers Block
Hi all,
How many of you have decided, well, my work will never be published, so why not just go with it and write it as it comes, no matter how wild it sounds? That's me plain and simple. I've decided my stuff will never be published, so I decided not to worry about rules and believability, and just write it as it's coming. So that's probably why my robot friend story seemed really way out there, lol. I think I may have said in another post, I hate the thought of having something I wrote just sit around in a drawer gathering piles of dust, because no one wants to read it. Just writing totally for myself alone just doesn't fill me with any enthusiasm. But on the other hand, I don't want to force my writing on people either. So how many of yu have decided to just go with the flow of it and write with total abandon
wonderwoman?
Hey Wonderwoman, I totally agree with you. If I write poems, especially if I do it in English, it will never be published so I don't care to write how it comes, no matter in the Grammar is lacking or the words are spelled wrong or anything sounds odd.
exactly inessle. In one way, there is a freedom in knowing you will nevver be published. If you are to be published, you have to observe all kinds of rules. I have enough to think about just thinking of the next installment to the story. I get excited when i first think of an idea, but then as I continue, it gets more difficult to keep the flow going, and I'm always in danger of writers block. Strangely enough, it wasn't until I got on the internet that I started coming up with ideas again, even though I come up with so few of them. I sent a ghost story I had written to ellery queens mystery magazine, which I get once a month here. They said it didn't suit their needs at this time, but if I wrote any more to send them to them first, but I think they were just being polite.
wonderwoman
That's why I think a journal is the easiest thing to write. It will be published, and mine is in English which is not my first language, but you don't have to observe any formating, any style - you can just write your own style.
I had a journal on live journal, I gess it's still there, I didn't delete it, but I just didn't have much to write about on a day to day basis, so I haven't been there in a long time
Well you can ever read my journal, wonderwoman, the link is in my profile. I'd be glad if you did. I hope you like my writing style *smiles*.
yes i will read your jernal one day! i love reading what other people have to say and writing my own stuff
Yes stargate, I would be glad if you read my journal!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, just be prepared, it is strange sometimes.
